The Jaguar F-PACE has scooped the prestigious World Car of Year and World Car Design of the Year titles at this year's 2017 World Car Awards.
The Solihull workforce are celebrating following news that the Jaguar F-PACE, built at Jaguar Land Rover's flagship manufacturing plant, has been named the best and most beautiful car in the world.
Proud employees from across the plant came together to mark the incredible achievement which saw the F-PACE beat off stiff competition from the Audi Q5, Mercedes Benz S-Class Cabriolet, and the Toyota C-HR at the World Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year awards at the New York Auto Show.
The performance crossover is Jaguar’s fastest-selling model ever. In the first month after its US and UK launch, it was met with an extremely positive response – with over 3,000 global sales during May. This helped propel Jaguar to its best May in over a decade, with sales up 90% on the previous year. F-PACE accounted for around one third of the 10,633 vehicles sold.
The all-new Jaguar XF today made its global motor show debut in New York. Formed around Jaguar’s aluminium-intensive architecture, the all-new XF will bring an unrivalled blend of design, luxury, technology, dynamic capability and efficiency to the business car segment.
Ian Callum,Director of Design, Jaguar, said: “I believe the all-new XF is the best looking car in its class. Elegant, handsome and with proportions that imbue a great sense of integrity - the all-new XF is true to the great tradition of sporting Jaguar saloons while being completely of its time.”
